So here's the solution I found:
Press Fn + F2, then quickly press the Enter key, and you'll see the grayed out wireless icon on your screen light up with color, along with a checkmark next to it.
Next, put your laptop into sleep mode. Turn the laptop back on. And voila, your wireless should be good to go.
I tried this several times (and so many other things) with the same notebook with Windows 7 and it didn't work when I pressed enter.
ReplyDeleteFeeling like you sent us on the right track, I tried the Fn+F2 and quickly *clicked* on the icon with the mouse and it lit up and wireless went on and worked.
Not taking any chances, I proceeded with YOUR Sleep process - wireless continued to stay on. Power cycle also successful. Thanks so much - we were just about to go buy a USB adapter!
THANK YOU SO MUCH I WAS ABOUT TO GO TO BEST BUY!!!
DeleteWorked PERFECT WITH THE MOUSE!!!
That worked. It's the dumbest solution that I have ever heard of, but it worked. Thank you.
